Overview

Without a standard naming approach, guides quickly become hard to search and use. Using a consistent naming structure in DocuFast ensures:

  • Faster search and discovery

  • Less confusion between similar guides

  • Easier onboarding for new team members

DocuFast naming follows a clean, structured format that prioritizes:

  • The system or tool

  • The specific section or task

  • Simple separators for clarity

Using this same pattern for Teach Me Guides keeps your workspace consistent and avoids visual clutter.

Naming Rules to Follow

1. Tool Names Are Explicit

Always spell out the full tool or platform name. For instance, use HubSpot instead of HS.

2. Keep Titles Short and Scannable

Titles should be readable without truncation in the DocuFast grid.

  • Aim for 3–10 words

  • Avoid filler terms

3. Use Consistent Capitalization

Follow Title Case for professionalism and visual consistency.

  1. Use Action-Oriented Verb

Include verbs that describe what the user will learn to do.

Common verbs to add to the interactive guide titles:

  • Create

  • Update

  • Submit

  • Record

  • Share

  • Troubleshoot
