Overview

Before a guide is shared, it should always be reviewed by you or a designated reviewer. Having someone clearly responsible for reviewing helps catch errors early, prevents confusion, and ensures the workflow reflects the correct process.

This step creates accountability and keeps documentation reliable.

Steps

Step 1: Assign a Reviewer

Decide who is responsible for reviewing the guide before it’s shared. This can be:

  • The guide creator

  • A team lead

  • A subject-matter expert

Step 2: Review the Guide End to End

The reviewer should go through the guide from start to finish, checking:

  • Document title and description

  • Step order and flow

  • Step action and instruction

  • Screenshots and visuals

  • Sensitive information should be redacted

Step 3: Validate Against the Real Workflow

Compare the guide against the actual process to ensure every step matches what happens in real use.

Step 4: Approve and Share

After approval, the guide is ready to be shared with the intended users.
