Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the services provided by Docufast Technologies Ltd ("Docufast", "we", "us", or "our"), including our website at docufast.ai, our Chrome extension, and all related features and products (collectively, the "Services").

By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

If you are using the Services on behalf of a company or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms, and "you" refers to that entity.

1. The Services

Docufast is a B2B SaaS tool that automatically converts screen recordings into step-by-step guides, AI-narrated videos, and interactive "Teach Me" walkthroughs. The Services are provided via a Chrome extension and web application.

We offer the following access tiers:

  • Free — Limited access with usage caps as described on our pricing page.

  • Pro — Full access for individual users, billed monthly or annually.

  • Pro Team — Full access for teams, billed per seat monthly or annually.

  • Enterprise — Custom plans for larger organisations. Contact sales@docufast.ai.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with reasonable notice where possible.

2. Accounts

To use the Services, you must create an account using a valid email address or via Google or Microsoft SSO. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and up-to-date account information

  • Keeping your login credentials confidential

  • All activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable use

You may use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Services to record, capture, or process data from systems or pages you are not authorised to access

  • Capture, store, or distribute other people's personal data without a valid legal basis

  • Use the Services to create content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Services

  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Services without our written consent

  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access or interact with the Services

  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services or related infrastructure

  • Circumvent any usage limits, access controls, or security features

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access immediately if we determine, at our sole discretion, that you have violated this section.

4. Your content

Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to the content you create using the Services, including guides, videos, screenshots, and Teach Me walkthroughs ("Your Content"). We do not claim any ownership over Your Content.

Licence to Docufast

By using the Services, you grant Docufast a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Services. We do not use Your Content for advertising or to train AI models without your explicit consent.

Shared Workspaces

If you create a shared Workspace, you are the Workspace Owner and are responsible for all content within it. When you invite others to a Workspace, you grant them access to view and use the content within that Workspace in accordance with the permissions you set. As Workspace Owner, you can revoke access at any time. Docufast is not responsible for disputes between Workspace Owners and their members.

Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for Your Content and the data you capture. This includes ensuring that:

  • You have the right to record any systems, screens, or data you capture

  • Any personal data captured during recordings is handled in accordance with applicable law, including the GDPR

  • You have obtained any necessary consents from people whose data may appear in your recordings

5. Intellectual property

The Services, including all software, design, trademarks, logos, and documentation, are owned by Docufast Technologies Ltd and protected by applicable intellectual property law. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of our intellectual property to you.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Services for your internal business purposes during the term of your subscription.

6. Subscriptions and payment

Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle. All prices are displayed on our pricing page and exclude applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Free plan

The Free plan is provided at no cost and subject to usage limits as published on our pricing page. We reserve the right to modify Free plan limits at any time with reasonable notice.

Upgrades and downgrades

You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain full access to paid features until that date.

Refunds

If you cancel a paid subscription, you are eligible for a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your current billing period. To request a refund, contact us at billing@docufast.ai within 14 days of cancellation. Refunds are at our reasonable discretion and will not be issued for accounts suspended due to a breach of these Terms.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, we will notify you by email and attempt to retry the charge. If payment remains outstanding after 7 days, your account may be downgraded to the Free plan until payment is resolved.

7. Data and privacy

Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

If you use Docufast to process personal data of your own end users or employees, you act as a data controller and Docufast acts as your data processor. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available on request at privacy@docufast.ai.

8. Confidentiality

Each party agrees to keep confidential any non-public information disclosed by the other party in connection with the Services that is designated as confidential or that reasonably should be understood to be confidential. This obligation does not apply to information that is or becomes publicly available through no fault of the receiving party.

9. Warranties and disclaimers

We provide the Services "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Docufast disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure

  • Any content generated by the Services (including AI-generated text and narration) is accurate, complete, or suitable for any specific purpose

  • The Services will meet your specific requirements

You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated output before publishing or distributing it.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Docufast shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Services.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Docufast in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) €100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Docufast Technologies Ltd and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

  • Your use of the Services in violation of these Terms

  • Your Content, including any claim that Your Content infringes a third party's rights

  • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation

12. Termination

Either party may terminate these Terms at any time. You may do so by cancelling your account. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms, without obligation to provide a refund.

Upon termination:

  • Your licence to use the Services ends immediately

  • Your Content will be deleted within 30 days, unless we are required by law to retain it

  • Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, and 14) will continue to apply

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via a notice in the product at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Services after that date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may cancel your account before the changes take effect.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cyprus.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also have the right to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

15. General

  • Entire agreement — These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Docufast regarding the Services.

  • Severability — If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.

  • No waiver — Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

  • Assignment — You may not assign these Terms or any rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

  • Language — These Terms are provided in English. In the event of any conflict with a translated version, the English version shall prevail.
